High-Throughput Nano Ball Mill for Battery Material R&D

AOT-MSK-SFM-192LN is a versatile high energy, high-throughput ball mill & mixer designed for efficient milling and mixing. Two milling stations can hold two 50ml SS jars in position. Radial oscillating movements provide sufficient kinetic energy to the milling balls which impact the wall surface of the jar and pulverize the materials. The included multi-channel 24x2 ml tube adapters enable the simultaneous milling/mixing of up to 48 different samples.

Nano level grinding ability

Capable of grinding materials to the sub micron or even nanometer level (usually up to<100 nm). This is crucial for improving the specific surface area and reactivity of battery materials, and can significantly affect the electrochemical performance of the battery.

Principle of high-energy impact grinding

Unlike traditional grinding methods, AOT-MSK-SFM-192LN generates extremely strong centrifugal force through a high-speed rotating rotor, which throws grinding beads (such as zirconia beads) at high speed towards the grinding chamber wall, subjecting the material to high-intensity impact, collision, and shear. This mechanism is highly efficient and can achieve the required fineness in a short period of time.

Excellent uniformity and consistency

High speed impact not only crushes particles, but also enables uniform mixing of different components of materials (such as active materials, conductive agents, and binders in positive electrode materials) at the molecular level, ensuring excellent consistency of the prepared samples and strong repeatability of experimental data.

AOT-MSK-SFM-192LN can accurately control key parameters such as speed, grinding time, and energy input, and monitor motor load and temperature in real time to ensure controllable processes and repeatable results.

Support storing and calling multiple grinding programs, facilitating quick switching between different experimental conditions.

Excellent cooling system

During high-speed grinding, a large amount of heat is generated, and excessively high temperatures may damage certain sensitive materials (such as polymer binders).

AOT-MSK-SFM-192LN is equipped with an efficient dual cycle water cooling system, which can effectively cool the grinding chamber and motor, maintain the temperature at a low level, and ensure the structural stability of thermosensitive materials.

The grinding chamber component adopts a quick disassembly design, which facilitates material replacement and thorough cleaning, and can effectively prevent cross contamination between different samples.
